The DGen Impact Career Programme, is an initiative that upports local youth during their school-to-work transition by offering diversified social impact project experiences and training for novices from diverse backgrounds to build up their portfolio and contribute to the community. We engaged students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds in IDG-themed training and community placements in other social impact organisations to ACT.
Our project relates to the Summit theme “Bridging Polarities” by fostering connections among diverse groups in Hong Kong, including Africans, South Asians, and the Chinese-speaking community. We bridge ethnic divides by bringing together students from varying backgrounds, facilitating collaboration between peers and young professional mentors, and promoting inclusivity within our training framework. Through these efforts, we aim to empower youth to co-create an inclusive and sustainable future, transcending societal divides and enhancing community cohesion.
