The IDG Network Latin America started in 2024 as a decentralized space of encounter among national hubs, coordinators, and communities who wanted to bring the IDGs to life from a Latin American perspective. In less than six months, we articulated our shared purpose, identity, and working circles, and had an active presence at the IDG Immersion in Colombia. Our main achievement has been to create a living network that makes visible and amplifies the practices of each hub—from Wisdom Circles inspired by Andean cosmovisions, to intersectoral collaborations and regional teams working on communications, community of practice, and ecosystem articulation—while weaving a strong sense of collective identity. The impact lies in positioning Latin America as a region of resilience, creativity, and ancestral wisdom, offering methodologies that connect inner development with systemic transformation. What we have learned is that the strength of our network is not in homogenizing practices but in honoring diversity, nurturing encounters, and building a shared ground of complementarity that opens possibilities for collective action.

Latin America is a land of polarities—pain and joy, roots and future, diversity and unity—that we are learning to embrace as complementarities. Our history carries wounds of colonialism and inequality, yet also offers resilience, creativity, and the capacity for forgiveness: transforming “open veins” into bridges of collaboration. The IDG Network LATAM is a space where ancestral wisdom meets contemporary practices, where local realities meet global conversations, and where differences become sources of healing and possibility. By cultivating complementarity, we strengthen our ability to hold complexity with empathy, nurture regional identity, and contribute to a global movement that bridges divides through love, forgiveness, and collective resilience.
